STEMtacular 🌟
We have been very busy in 5th and 6th class the past month preparing for the first STEMtacular science fair in Ballinamore Sports Complex. The boys and girls have all worked very hard on their projects and they all turned out amazing! I am so proud of all the boys and girls as they all did a fantastic job presenting their projects to the many judges today. We’d also like to say a huge thank you to Mrs. Kelly for all of her help with the projects, we couldn’t have done it without her. Teamwork makes the dream work! 🌟
The judges had a very difficult job picking winners today as there was over 100 projects to choose from. Despite this, all of our hard work didn’t go unnoticed as Scoil Mhuire Naofa managed to bring home some prizes! Firstly, a big congratulations to the team who worked on “Strong Bridges” as they picked up an Engineering in Science award today. Next we’d like to say a huge well done to the boys and girls who worked with Ms. Dockery as they also received an award for their amazing project on pink and white marshmallows. Finally, a special congratulations to Harry who won an award for being the best communicator at the science fair. 🏆
RTÉ even came along to see what all the fuss was about! Don’t forget to rewatch todays News2Day to see some amazing projects from the science fair in action. One of the judges today was the lovely Evelyn Cusack who is the longest-serving weather presenter on RTÉ. She was very impressed with all of our projects. 🎥
Overall we had a fantastic day out and it is definitely a day to be remembered! 🌟
