🥽🥼Science Week 🥼🥽
Have a look at the wonderful science experiments Senior Infants conducted during Science Week last week!
We explored how the colours from the skittles slowly dissolved into water, creating a beautiful rainbow pattern.
During the gummy bear osmosis experiment, three gummy bears were placed in different liquids: water, sugar water and salt water. After a day, we observed that the gummy bear in water grew bigger, while those in saltwater broke apart.
We placed raisins in a glass of 7UP and watched as the raisins seemed to “dance” up and down.
Using a jar, shaving cream, and food colouring, we created a "cloud" in a jar. They then added drops of food colouring (representing rain) to the top of the shaving cream cloud.
In the colourful flowers experiment, we placed white flowers into cups of coloured water. At the end of the day, we observed how the flowers changed colour as they absorbed the coloured water through their stems.
We had a fantastic time exploring science in action during the week and discovering how the world around us works!
