Our Irish theme for the month of September was ‘Mé Féin’. The boys and girls made super progress orally practicing their ‘agallamh’ (interviews) frequently with a partner where they had 15 questions to ask or answer about themselves as Gaeilge.
This oral practice helped the children to quickly move on to the written elements of the theme as they had retained certain knowledge of the sentence structure from their interviews. At the end of the month, all of the boys and girls were able to write a full paragraph about themselves in Irish without needing any prompts at all. I am so proud of how competent and confident the children became with the theme of ‘Mé Féin’ and they should be so proud of all of their hard work! 🌟👏🏻
