We were so lucky to meet author Shelley Corcoran in the local library. She read her book to us “The Most Irish Person”. We really enjoyed this picture book which beautifully showcases and celebrates multicultural Ireland. We joined characters Anna and Lucy as they journey across Ireland in search of the most Irish person in Ireland.
The amazing illustrations depict each place the children live, showing us famous landmarks around the counties of Ireland. We really enjoyed seeing local places and remembering visiting counties and countries from our travels. Our very own lovely Leitrim was mentioned in the story also💚💛.
After listening to the story, we showcased our drawing skills in a drawing competition and drew characters from the story. First place won a copy of the book “The Most Irish Person”. Our runners up won the story book “Making Friendships”.
