Harvesting our Pumpkins 🎃
22nd Oct 2024
Last year, we planted some pumpkin seeds in our polytunnel in the school garden. But on Friday the 4th of October the real fun began as it was finally time to harvest our pumpkins! There were pumpkins of all sorts of shapes, sizes and colours and we couldn’t believe that we managed to harvest over 25 pumpkins altogether! We had great fun making a big long chain and passing our pumpkins from one to the other to create a ‘pumpkin patch’ in the courtyard.
We then held a raffle with two children from each class winning a pumpkin to bring home. Well done to all the lucky winners! We can’t wait to see how all of the pumpkins look for our annual pumpkin carving and decorating competition before the Halloween midterm break! 🎃
